My Acts 20:35 Gift

I have an earpiece which is going to be a year old by February 2021. It’s basically about 10months old now, and thankfully it still works perfectly (don’t be shocked it’s lasted so long, I’m such a good carer, if i do say so myself šŸ˜Œ). It was a gift from my friend and brother in Christ, Kingston.

Kingston had bought two sets of those earpieces, he gave one to me and gave the other to another person. This he did for no special reason; It was just a generous gesture.

The earpiece has constantly been a reminder to me of Acts 20:35b that says it is more blessed to give than to receive. I and Kingston currently do not share the same geographical space as we used to but each time i pick up the earpiece to listen to music i always remember him and my heart blesses him.

Kingston gave and he’s already blessed for doing that but i still remember him for his gift. Whereas, he might have completely forgotten about me (the receiver) or my existence.

It’s December y’all, and as the last month in each year, it is usually a time when people expect gifts and ‘things’ in general from others. Many do not think of what they can offer to others but concern themselves with what others can and SHOULD give them.

I enjoin you to try doing the opposite; look for avenues to bless others and give to others rather than seek to be given. Don’t worry, you’ll also be given. šŸ˜„
But seriously, Give from the little you have, and if you think you have absolutely nothing to offer, then give words of encouragement to those who need them.

If God brings an opportunity your way to bless anyone in anyway, materially or otherwise, please take it gladly. Whether they pay you back or not is irrelevant. Why? Because God, in his magnificence, has so structured the universe in such a way that GOOD NEVER GOES UNREWARDED.

Ps: Kingston hasn’t forgotten me though, we’re still friends and brothers in the faith! šŸ˜
Also, please see the following scriptures in your spare time; Luke 6:33, Luke 6:38, Galatians 6:10, James 4:17, Ephesians 6:8, Matthew 6:1.

And don’t forget to do good and to share what you have with others, because sacrifices like these are very pleasing to God-Hebrews 13:16 ERV.
